WoW - For those of you with game card but no CC

I think I'd like to share this tip because I know the pain of having your copy and not being able to play.

The WoW website account creation page can be cheated as if you're in Australia, so it'll make Game Card as payment option available. The trick is:

1. Go to your Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options...
2. Go to Connections > LAN Settings
3. Check Use proxy server...
4. Enter the address: 203.82.168.9 and port: 3128

This will make WoW website think as if you're in Australia. Check if it's correct by going to google.com, it should show google.com Australia.

Go create your account and select Game Card as the payment option, it should go smoothly.

Don't forget to change back your Proxy Server address!

i just need to clarify something here. If you ask us to changethe proxy setting so that the webstie think that you are from australia, this means that if you want to use the game card, and not the CC, do you still have to fill in a fake australian adress and everything?

You can fill in whatever for the address and zip code (I used my Singapore address), but since there's no choice for Singapore as country, I selected Australia.

I tried and it doesnt work for me.dunno why.i tried ticking everything and also leaving everything blank but no difference.using windows XP SP1.anyonw knows wat to do? sucks to not be able to register =.= Google showing google malaysia
