hey guess what, I rekindle this thread. Have always supported funz, in the last 3 yrs bought PS2.PS3.Wii.Wii fit board.FragFx.Plus 30over games from chris and crystal, and they always give 2-5 bucks discount when I ask nicely. I can afford these things , but just shiok when given what you ask for. Haven't been to funz quite some time.Today wanted to buy a game for nephew birthday. Juzzgame 67bucks, funz member 72, member 67. I am not member, so I ask funz can sell cheaper to me? The filipino ask me to join member pay 10 bucks, I ask the regular young guy, can sell cheaper? He gave me that retarded wtf look, "what cheaper, member 67, non member 72. Geez...Which stupid guy would pay 10buck to join to buy at 67 when juzzgame sell non member 67. Juzzgame will give 2 more buck discount if you be member when accumulate 100 bucks receipt...
I will boycott funz...sad...unless i see chris or crystal....
I also recommend buy2hand yishun. Bought DDR for my kid for last min christmas gift, didn't ask around for price. Listed $128, I chin chye say 120 can ? The guy chop chop say ok. I ask how much DS lite foam case, my boy need, he say 8 bucks. I say throw in free, he say ok...5 min he earned my money...that's good service....

but in the shoes of the store owners, imagine if one day all the customer ask them to cut $2-$3? then in their case maybe one day got 100cust buy things, end up loose $200-$300, can buy 5-6pcs of games le wor.

The member thing seem like a con job. Pay 10 buck to be member, mark up the game five bucks and make it seem like customer save 5 bucks.Why would i pay 10 bucks to be member and get "member price $67,( five dollar off non member price of $72") ,when in actual fact next door juzzgame sell the same game to anyone for $67, or $65 if member of juzzgame. ( if spend total receipt 100 buck a month can be juzz member FOC). Because of Chris and Crystal who have given me good service and discount so consistently ,I ask for cheaper price from those"new" staff (like juzzgame at 67) for non funz member to support funz...the reaction to my asking for discount make me feel like i was begging..and like..what cheaper... take it at 72 for non member or leave it,so heck, bought at Juzzgame, $67 no need to waste saliva...I was actually ready to get 2 ps3 plus 1 wii game from funz, but the experience put me off...no more funz from now...Yishun buy2hand don't look so class like funz but they very chin chye one, just say sell cheaper, they will...

I also frequent Funzcenter from the time there are a small shop till now. I also no membership but most of the time i mention chris name they just give me member price.. tho i know member price is the same as justz game.. but got the chop thing right? Few month back i got SF4 PC version with 10 off cos i collect the 10 chops..

Unfortunately.. it does seem that their price are not as competitve as before..

i think no more chop card leow. Got a plastic card must pay 10buck plus first to join...so pissed off when member price is same as juzz....
Same for MS color AMKhub. Got my DSLR and 5 lens/ext flash from Mscolor central in the last 6 mths. Not that I didn't give chance to mscolor hub, I always try hub first since i park at basement, and often dealt with the older guy with straight face at hub...i do my research made up mind to buy, test lens and ask for best price. Then ask nicely for cheaper, he never budge. Always say he make 2 dollars only...yea sure..without fail, I pop over to central, happen to get the lady boss most times, always can get 10-20buck cheaper, and 2 occasions free filter(normal one), when good mood she let me pay by credit card...thats call grasping the customer mentality correctly...

they use their member card to get more from naive people.

eg. I asked this young chap at Funz AMK hub which version is their GOW. got demo code.
His stupid reply was that got version with code or no code meh.
