Spent almost 1k for my PS3 set
Last mth, I bought my PS3 at Sim Lim, Evolution Gaming LLP.
When i 1st enquirred about the price, he told me it was only 380. I was super happy to hear the price and was interested to buy it. Then he told me tat I needed to buy 5 games since he's selling the set cheap to me and each games would cost 115. I hesitated and then he offered me to get the accesories instead of the games. The HDMI 1.8m cost 105, controller 105 and cooling fan for 200. I realli had no idea of anything about PS3 at tat point of time. After tat, he explained to me about some free region modification tat i can add to my set so tat i can play all sorts of games from all the different regions. Tat cost me another 180. Not sure if tis free region thingy exist or not Was kinda sad tat i decided to take the set offered by them. I was there wif my family and my sister bought her psp for 600 in total at tat particular shop. I trusted the price offered by them since I was buying the psp and ps3 from the same shop, and naturally 1 would feel the price offered would be cheaper once u buy more stuffs from a particular shop. But now, seems like I'm regretting the moments i play my ps3. In total, i spent like 380+105+105+200+180= 970 !!! They ensured me tat everything tat i bought from them are cheap... Did they cheat me ? Or the price are just rite ? I wonder... Should have done my researching before buying my PS3 but its all too late to regret...

Sorry to say, You were cheated.
PS3 40GB official price is S$559 1.8M HDMI < S$10 Controller S$73 The fan which wasn't needed at all also not need S$200 PS3 is already REGION Free Out of the box. So no need the $180 region mod. The PSP was doubled the normal price too... To add... a game cost $115 each?!?!!?!?! F*** Evolution Gaming LLP. So

Now I know how these shops survive.
Yes you were cheated, ANY PS3 can play ANY region games. Might as well have given the S$180 to me.

BTW, HDMI 1.8 cost me $10, cooling fan $20, Controller $65.

Does your PS3 box have the official Singapore set logo? If not you can take it as another sucker punch.

Sad, but pretty much nothing u can do. to be frank, ur sister got cheated of the 600 bucks psp too.
PsP slim+4gb ms stick+modified don't cost even $400 |

Kinda sad that a fellow gamer gets cheated like dat. Kinda pissed rite now that they willing to cheat u all the way. I think its best that the shop be BlackListed and I strongly suggest you go to CASE with this. Even SONY SG store dont charge till dat much. Dam F up after listening to ur story. I really feel u bro...

Super CHEATED , HDMI $10 can get , Games less than $100 one , PS3 NOT POSSIBLE to price at $380 , Reputable shops don't sell console with game . AND most importantly is your PS3 LOCAL ? It doesn't matter if you're cheated a not as long as those thing that you bought are REAL no fake . HA ! Wish you all the best and hope you LEARNED your lesson .
