Recently, I have ordered from HMV Uk before. Bad experience. If you have read my thread under the Amazon shopping Spree.

1stly, They failed to protect my Singstar Wireless Mic that I ordered. When I received it, the orignal box of the mics was like ripped open at the bottom, and the box was in bad shape. They just put the Mic box into a bubble envelope, which obviously couldn't protect the package.

2ndly, I ordered Heavenly Sword from them. And they send me a unsealed one!!! It was obviously not brand new and factory sealed.

Anyway I have emailed them and told them about their bad service. And I have posted both items back to them and asked for a refund and pay me back my postage cost as well. Which is still in the process.
Overall was a time wasting and bad experience ordering from HMV UK.

If u really wanna order from them, do drop them a email and make sure u make it clear to them to post a brand new sealed game and protect your package.

see this thread for my damaged box and unsealed HS.

Re: Game deals thread

Thanks to xiaoarc for mentioning this UK site: hmv.com. They ship directly too. The games are R2, which you can play on local PS3s but you won't be able to buy DLCs.

PS3 Games:
http://hmv.com/hmvweb/listSearch2.do...ubPrimaryID=82 - sale
http://hmv.com/hmvweb/navigate.do?ct...pSubGroupID=82

Postage: £4.50 per item
http://hmv.com/hmvweb/navigate.do?ct...1&pPageID=3325
http://hmv.com/hmvweb/navigate.do?ct...1&pPageID=3329

Note: kimotherapy mentioned that he had unpleasant experience with this site (bubble envelope packaging not offering sufficient protection for bigger items, game shipped unsealed). See http://forums.gameaxis.com/showpost....3&postcount=61

Highlights:
Mirror's Edge £13.99
Lair £7.99
FIFA 09 £17.99

Current exchange rate:

Re: Game deals thread

I bought Lair recently. Not a bad game, but I really don't like the controls. Actually I have no problem with the motion sensor controls (you can switch to analog stick if you want, the patch was done already). It's all the other controls, the few battle modes each with diff controls, those I hate. It's episodic in nature but often the objectives is not clear (even though there is a button to show you the objective locations). For S$12 or 15, still worth it lah.

Ya their customer service staff were prompt to repying my emails and doing the necessary recovery.
So top points for that. Just that a lot of time wasted. Waiting for my orders to arrive, one week gone. Then received bad condition items and email them, take another 2 days or so. Then go post office and post back return items, another one day. Then wait for them to receive return items, one week.
Then wait for them to send me back new replacement items, one week.

so total time spend just to get the item, estimated 3 weeks and 2days. LOL

Re: Game deals thread

Amazon UK should be fast, at least don't have that Royale Logistics crap. Even during the xmas period, my Amazon UK packages were arriving within 7 days.

Too bad they don't ship games to us though.
