Re: Metal Gear Solid 5

A bit disappointed so far with MGO

- A level up system that lets you unlock gear without being P2W (Maybe I haven't seen the store..)
- Maps feels different with day and night system
- It has a D-Dog plush that is OP imo, Surprised no one used it.
- Sneaking play behind enemy lines is very rewarding

- Matchmaking can be imbalanced due to small population?
- If host DCs, everyone loses XP
- SPAWN CAMPING Spoils the fun
- Kill Steals can spoil the fun
- More solo players than team players
- LAG IS REAL (CQC is useless due to lag)
- No clan or other proper team social features

How was your experience so far?

Not impressed yet, but still early, just unlocked the other 2 character slots.

For those who keen to pick up PS4 ground zero digital copy at less than S$10. Try UK playstore for £3.99 promotion, would need to buy uk playstation card (£5)

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5

Just completed MGS V: The Phantom Pain. Quality cut-scenes and some nice moments. A departure from usual MGS. Game feels unfinished. Repetitive and boring missions adds nothing to the story but to consume time. One challenging moment for me whereby I did not R&D grenade launcher weapons and had to "tough it out" in one particular mission which you were not able to progress or quit.

If I were Konami, I would sack Hideo Kojima too, for over-glorifying himself all over the game. No need for credits played at each "chapter" too.

Overall, it feels like Star Wars prequel made in reverse chronological order to explain a story line but terribly done. Good graphics, some new stuff. MGS fans yes. As a person playing his/her first MGS game may not understand why this franchise became so popular worldwide.

Rate: 8/10.
